YSRC’s unclear stand on T draws KTR ire
Stepping up its attack on the YSR Congress after its chief Y.S. Vijayalakshmi's campaign tour to Parkal, the TRS on Friday accused her of failing to express her party's stand on Telangana.
With the voting day approaching fast, TRS leaders and cadres are leaving nothing to chance in view of the four-cornered contest for the Parkal Assembly seat, involving the TRS, the Congress, the Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress.
Launching a scathing attack on the YSR Congress, party MLA K.T. Rama Rao said the party has failed to spell out its stand on Telangana. He also said Ms Vijayalakshmi and Ms Sharmila Reddy inadvertently blurted out the truth that Ms Konda Surekha quit in the interest of her family and Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, 'but not for Telangana'.
Taking exception to YSR Congress allegation that Chandrasekhar Rao and Kodandaram were indulging in “politics over the dead”, he countered: “Is there anyone else to beat Jagan on this issue? When the entire state was searching for YSR’s missing helicopter, he stayed put in the house. After learning of his father’s death, he launched a signature campaign to make him the Chief Minister.”
