Woman who attacked cop out on bail

Divya Dutt Dubey, who attacked a traffic sub inspector and a home guard on Wednesday for imposing a fine of Rs 200 on her for parking her car in a No Parking area, was released on bail after being produced before the local magistrate at the Nampally court. P. Jawaharnath, sub inspector at the Panjagutta police station said that a chargesheet will be filed by the end of July and submitted before the Metropolitan court, Nampally. The case will be heard on August 1.

M. Stephen Raveendra, DCP, West Zone said that strict enforcement of rules should be done in the case of all drivers, male or female. The woman should have approached the traffic police station, Panjagutta, or reported the matter to authorities instead of reacting in such a manner and violating the rules. “It is not right to attack an official on duty for doing his job,” he said.
