Vijay Sai first to get bail in Jagan’s case
The CBI court on Friday granted conditional bail to V. Vijay Sai Reddy, vice-chairman of Jagati Publications, three months after he was arrested by the CBI. He is the only person arrested in the assets’ case of Kadapa MP. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to have been granted bail. He had to execute a bond for Rs 25,000 with two sureties for a like sum.
The CBI moved a memo urging the court to suspend operation of bail proceedings soon after the order was pronounced. But CBI judge B. Naga Maruthi Sharma dismissed the petition. In his bail plea, Mr Vijay Sai Reddy had submitted that allegations levelled were based on assumptions and presumptions.
