Two engineers killed in Miyapur road accident

Two engineers died in a road accident at Miyapur on Thursday morning.

The deceased have been identified as K. Jitender Reddy, 22, son of Devender Reddy, a resident of Shakunta in Karimnagar district, and Ashok Raju, 24, son of Srinivas Raju, a resident of Miriyalaguda, Nalgonda.

Miyapur S-I Ramaiah said that Jitender, a B.Tech (Electronics and Communication) graduate, had come to the city on Thursday in search of a job. His friend, Ashok Raju, a civil engineer, employed as “work inspector” with the Housing Corporation, had promised to help him.

In another incident, a 21-year-old engineering student named S. Mohan died on Wednesday when the Scorpio he was driving hit an electric pole. He was a third year B.Tech student of Malla Reddy Engineering College.

Mohan suffered severe head and other injuries in the collision.
