Techie dies as bike hits divider
A software engineer died in the Raidurg area on the city’s outskirts on Friday, after his motorcycle skidded and crashed into a road divider. Police suspects that the victim, R. Nagaraju, was speeding on his two-wheeler when he lost control. As the bike skidded and hit the road divider on the right side, he was thrown off the vehicle. Nagaraju landed on the divider, sustaining fatal injuries on the head.
The 108 ambulance staff, who examined him, declared him dead on the spot. According to the Raidurg inspector, Mr A. Balakoti, Nagaraju left his home in Lingampally at around 9 am and met with the mishap midway, near the Infosys office at Nanakramguda at around 9.30 am. Nagaraju is from Nakrekal in Nalgonda district. After the post-mortem was conducted at the Osmania mortuary, the police handed over Nagaraju’s body to his father, Mr Narayana. The police registered a case under Section 304-A of the IPC (causing death by negligence) based on a complaint by Nagaraju’s colleague Mr Srihari and has started investigation into the mishap.
