Teacher hits boy on head for chatting

A Class VIII student was beaten up by his teacher for allegedly talking to his friend during class time on Tuesday in a private school at Krishnanagar. The victim, Prasad, 13, a resident of Yousufguda, received an injury on his head as the teacher, Kumar Goud, hit him with an exam pad. Angered by the teacher’s action, students from various students’ organisations and and locals carried out a protest before the school. The incident occurred at Sri Sairam High School at SriKrishnanagar.

However, Banjara Hills sub-inspector Syed Neemuallah said that since the matter was settled between parents and the management, no complaint was registered in the police station. According to the classmates of Prasad, when Kumar Goud, who is a geography teacher, was teaching, Prasad talked to his friend and laughed. An angry Kumar Goud took the exam pad and hit him on the head. An injured Prasad was rushed to a private hospital, and later declared to be fine with two stitches on his head.
