TD to complain against NDTV
Alleging that television news channel NDTV was paid Rs 30 crore as consultancy fees by the Sakshi group, the Telugu Desam on Tuesday threatened to bring to the notice of the Editors Guild and the News Broadcasters Association of India the issue of the channel projecting the YSR Congress favourably in a survey.
Claming that he had sufficient evidence to back his words, TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy asked the channel to rectify the "false" claims that the TD would be routed in the next Lok Sabha elections while giving the YSRC 21 seats, the TRS 10, the Congress 9 and others 2. Meanwhile, TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu too said that the channel was a media consultant for the Sakshi group and was trying to elevate the YSRC and its leader, Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“How can educated people vote for the corrupt? If people vote for the corrupt, God alone can save this country. I have faith in the people. I am confident that they will take a right decision,” Mr Naidu remarked.
According to the channel’s survey, respondents said YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was the best candidate for the Chief Minister’s post followed by Mr Naidu, TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and MP K. Chiranjeevi.
