Talks with KCR on, no decision yet: Ravi
Union minister Vayalar Ravi on Saturday said the central government would have to consult other political parties and sections of Congress leaders in the state before taking a final view on Telangana. Mr Ravi, who has been negotiating with Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Telangana issue, was speaking to newsmen after returning from Shanghai late in the evening, before leaving for Kochi.
The Union minister said the Congress central leadership was very much concerned about resolving the Telangana issue and he had held talks with Mr Rao twice already on the issue. He said talks with the TRS chief were likely to resume from Monday. Mr Ravi said Mr Rao's offer to merge the TRS into the Congress, provided the Centre announces Telangana state, was one of the proposals being discussed. The Union minister emphasised that no decision on Telangana statehood has been taken yet.
