T-lawyers ask DGP to stop padayatras
Telangana activists have asked the police department not to allow TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and Y.S. Sharmila Reddy to enter Telangana region.
Telangana Advocates JAC on Saturday met DGP V. Dinesh Reddy and asked him to stop the entry of the leaders as it is likely to lead to law and order issues.
Advocates JAC convener T. Sriranga Rao said, “We have referred to incidents of clashes like Manukoata in Mahbub-abad when Jagan visited Telangana, “Chandradandu” violence when Naidu came to Warangal, arrests of activists when Y.S. Vijayalakshmi visited Siricilla. Mr Naidu claims that he is coming to Tel-angana to talk on public issues. Telangana is the biggest issue for the people here. So, when he comes here people may question him regarding Telangana and it may lead to clashes.”
Mr Rao added, “Recently, when Speaker Nadendla Manohar visited Narsapur, several T-activists were arrested. If Naidu comes during the Dasara festival, cops will arrest activists as preventive measure.”
