Student complains against classmates

An Intermediate college student of Novoyaka Junior College lodged a complaint with the LB Nagar police against two of her classmates over eve-teasing.

Later on the same day, the girl’s brother went to the college with around 25 people and picked up a quarrel with the students who were harassing his sister.

According to police, the girl in her complaint said, “Two boys from my college approached me seeking to be friends. After a week the same boys started harassing me and even threatened me that I should fall in love with one of them. Though I ignored them, they kept following me and used to pass comments every day before and after college. I filed a complaint in fear.”

On Friday she told her parents about the trouble at college. They took her to the police and lodged a complaint. Her brother caught hold of the two boys to beat them up. Three students were injured in the clash.

Police said they did not receive any complaint on the fight, but a case was registered against the two students on eve-teasing.
