State bags top ranks in ICSE, ISC, girls outperform boys
Students from the state performed extremely well in the ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII Board examination, the results of which were announced on Saturday. A record pass percentage of 99.45 was recorded by AP students in Class X while it was 99.01 per cent for Class XII.
Almost all ICSE schools in the city secured 100 per cent results and many students passed with “distinction”, having secured over 90 per cent marks. As with most years, this time too, girls outperformed boys in both Class X and Class XII.
As many as 6,146 students from 87 ICSE schools in AP had appeared for Class X exams and 706 students from 16 ISC schools had sat for their Class XII exams. ICSE schools such as Johnson Grammar School (Habsiguda), Aurobindo International School (Vidyanagar), Niraj Public School (Ameerpet), Nasr School (Khairatabad), St. Theresa School (ECIL) and others secured 100 per cent results.
