Srilakshmi gets bail after 6 tries
A special court on Monday granted interim bail till January 20, 2013, to suspended IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi, one of the accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company case. Ms Srilakshmi contended that she was undergoing treatment at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences for disc dislocation. The court allowed her to undergo medical treatment in the city. Ms Srilakshmi was arrested on November 28 last year. This is her sixth attempt at bail. She had succeeded in getting bail once in a lower court, but it was cancelled by High Court. She had filed bail petitions twice in the special CBI court and twice in the AP High Court. She also moved the Supreme Court which upheld the HC order.
