Srilakshmi to be put on OMC trial

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has sanctioned prosecution of IAS official Y. Srilakshmi in the mining scam involving Obulapuram Mining Company of Gali Janardhan Reddy. An official press release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated that the government had accorded sanction for prosecution of the official, who is currently in jail, both under Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Sanction to prosecute Ms Srilakshmi had been given “in view of serious charges” against her, stated the CMO.
