Spiffy new hostel for OU women research scholars

Women research scholars at Osmania University will be relieved to know that they no longer have to share their accommodation with postgraduate or undergraduate students. The university is coming up with a new hostel block exclusively for women scholars. B. Neeraja, director of Osmania University women’s hostel, said the existing Old Block 3 at the Osmania University women’s hostel campus will soon be demolished and a new exclusive block will be constructed for the research scholars. The construction of this block, it is said, will start from mid-September.

“The scholar’s block will consist of 124 fully-furnished rooms with Wi-Fi connectivity, a separate library with all the information needed for the students’ research and a well-equipped hall for seminars and discussions. Students will not face any kind of inconvenience during their stay as the authorities plan to provide them with all the basic facilities,” said the director of the women’s hostel.
