Soon, customer details on water board website
The Water Board is creating a data bank of its customers along with their Consumer Account Number for more transparency.
Officials said the data would be put up on www.hyderabadwater.gov.in in a day or two. Once all the details are uploaded, customers can check their CANs, details of cheque-bounce cases, any deviations such as illegal use of motors, defaults in payment as received from field reports, and vigilance reports, among others. Officials promised stern action on complaints received on its Metro Customer Care call centre number (155313) on illegal use of motors, illegal connections like seizing of motors, disconnecting illegal connections, etc.
Customers can also dial the number to make complaints on illegal water supply, sewerage connections, use of electrical motor to draw water illegally from man pipeline, misuse of water tankers, encroachment on Water Board pipeline or properties, among others. The Board has assured confidentiality of such informers.
