Six students hurt as truck hits auto
An autorickshaw carrying schoolchildren collided with a DCM truck at Meerpet in Dhatunagar, seriously injuring a child and the autorickshaw driver. The other children suffered minor injuries. Six girls from Spark School were heading home in an autorickshaw when it was hit by a truck. Its driver escaped while the students and the autorickshaw driver were rushed to Vishwas Hospital. Child rights activists protested against overloaded school autorickshaws. Balala Hakkula Sangham president Achyuta Rao said the government should bear the medical expenses of the kids. The police has registered a case and are looking for the truck driver.
