Sakshi fined for modified pleas on frozen a/cs
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday penalised Sakshi media house owned by Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by imposing Rs 1 lakh costs on each miscellaneous petitions filed in connection with the freezing of its accounts by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Jagathi Publications, Indira Television and Janani Infra had moved the court to modify the earlier orders granted in their favour to defreeze their accounts. The petitions sought to modify the earlier orders to permit the companies to furnish title deeds of immovable properties.
