Rs 35L annual pay for HCU student
Gudaas Savankumar, a fresh graduate from the University of Hyderabad, bagged a handsome salary package of Rs 35 lakh per annum, the highest so far for an M.Tech student in the history of the varsity. Mr Savankumar, was picked up as a Research and Development Engineer by Works Application (Tokyo),
“I was the only student recruited by this international company from UoH. The company has asked me to join in October either in their Singapore or their Tokyo branch.” Two more students from IIIT-Hyderabad and IIT-Hyderabad were offered the same designation by Works Application (Tokyo). Creat-ing another record for the varsity, Chaitanya Das was picked up for Rs 10.50 lakh per annum by the Reserve Bank of India. This is the highest package offered to an MBA student so far.
“The bank hired me for a Grade B officer’s designation, I will be under training for two months starting July, and then the bank will place me in one of their branches.” According to Mr Asif Jacob, placement manager at UoH, many students from faculties like computer science, MCA and M.Tech. were picked up by companies such as Intergraph Consulting, Cavium Networks; Zen Technolo-gies; HSBC and Deaf Team for salaries ranging from Rs 3.30 lakh to Rs 6.50 lakh per annum. Even students from the economics department of UoH were hired for an average salary package of Rs 5.50 lakh per annum.
