Pilot training on simulator to get fillip
Pilot training on simulator with all virtual equations, and experience âas real as realâ, will get a further boost with the Central Training Establishment, Hyderabad, having inducted a new CAE 7000 series Level âDâ A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The simulator is based on Airbus standard and is compatible with Air Indiaâs current fleet of Airbus A319/A320/A321 aircraft. The state-of-the-art, all-electric motion system provides more accurate and authentic cues for pilot training and is more environment-friendly than hydraulic-based motion systems, it was informed. It is also said to consume less energy, thereby decreasing overall operating costs. The simulator is equipped with 210x40-degree visual system with Liquid Crystal on Silicon projectors, the latest technology in visual scenes. It is stated to be a lot easier to maintain than the conventional CRT-based visual system.
