Naidu for unambiguous stand on T, other issues
Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu is determined to give party’s nod for Telangana.
Sources said Mr Naidu told the Telugu Desam Legislature Party meeting that the party would make its stand clear on Telangana issue soon.
“The party will not be ambiguous on any issue henceforth, including Tela-ngana. We have made our stand clear with BC declaration and categorisation of SCs. We will make our stand clear on Telangana soon,” he reportedly told the TDLP on Friday.
Later, PAC chairman and TD MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy said Mr Naidu would write to the Centre asking it to take a decision on Telangana and reiterating party”s 2008 stand on the issue in the second week of September.
Prior to writing the letter to Centre, Mr Naidu would hold deliberations with party leaders from Seemandhra region before making a formal announcement, he added.
Earlier in the meeting, Mr Naidu complimented party MLAs agitation agai-nst power cuts, fee reimbursement and asked them to keep up the good work.
The TDLP discussed the burning power cuts issue, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s “dilly-dallying” on accepting the resignation of minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, the fee reimbursement issue and others.
“After the party came out with BC declaration, other political parties are following it. We need to keep up this tempo,” Mr Naidu reportedly told the TDLP.
