Nag meets ‘pal’ Nimmagadda in Chanchalguda
Actor Nagarjuna visited the Chanchalguda Jail on Saturday to meet industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, who is behind bars in connection with illegal investments case of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Nagarjuna reached the jail at 2.30 in the afternoon and met Mr Prasad with whom he has many busine-ss tie-ups. He spent around 30 minutes with the industrialist but did not meet Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Prasad is a good friend: Nagarjuna
After the mulaqat, where Nagarjuna met industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad at the Chanchalguda Jail on Saturday, the actor briefly spoke to reporters who were waiting outside. He said that Mr Prasad was his good friend and they used to meet daily till he was put behind bars. He also made it clear that he had only came to meet Mr Prasad as he hadn’t seen him in the recent past due to his arrest which was very “unfortunate”.
The CBI has named Mr Prasad as the 12th accused in Jagan Mohan Reddy illegal assets case.
He had allegedly invested nearly `800 crore in the companies owned by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, in exchange of around 15,000 acres of land for his Vadarevu And Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor project when Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister.
