My team is clean, says Kiran
Referring to the ongoing CBI probe on several of his Cabinet colleagues and senior officials on controversial issuance of GOs during the rule of former CM Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday sounded confident that they would come out clean as “they were not involved in getting quid pro quo benefits similar to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.”
The CM, while fielding a volley of questions during his interaction with mediapersons here, stated, that unlike Jagan’s case, where he forced huge investments in his firms in lieu of various concessions given by the state government in taking up various projects during the YSR regime, the ministers were involved in issue of GOs at the behest of the then CM.
When asked why individual ministers were facing the CBI probe when the responsibility of issuing the GOs rested collectively on the Cabinet, the CM parried the question, saying that as the issue was being probed by the CBI on the apex court’s directions, it would be inappropriate to comment on it.

Campaigning for her party's Parkal nominee Konda Surekha on Friday, YSR Congress honorary president Y.S Vijayalakshmi said that her party would honour the Telangana sentiment.
Accompanied by her daughter Y.S. Sharmila Reddy, Ms Vijayalakshmi had a smooth sailing at the road show at Kanayamakula village, unlike her son Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's abortive and violence-marred Odarpu event in Mahbubabad in May 2010.
“We have already taken a decision during YSRC's plenary to respect the Telangana sentiment. Because of our respect for the sentiment, we did not field any contestants during previous bypolls in Telangana," Ms Vijayalak-shmi said. Before beginning her address, she touched a chord with the large crowd by observing one minute silence to mourn Telangana martyrs.
