Man shot over land dispute

A city businessman was shot and critically injured by some unknown persons near Vattepally Road at Bibi-ka-Chashma in Falaknuma police station limits on Thursday. According to the police, the victim, Md. Mansoor, 23, was moving in his vehicle in the afternoon with his friend Habeeb, when suddenly two people from the opposite direction travelling on another bike shot Mansoor in his head and vanished.

He was rushed to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science for treatment. Mansoor’s condition is said to be critical. The police said they have identified the suspects and might arrest them late at night. The reason for the incident is said to be some old rivalry and fight over a property in Kazipura. Habeeb, who was riding the bike, wasn’t hurt in the firing.
