Man found dead inside burning car near zoo
A man was found dead inside a burning car near the Zoo Park in the early hours of Saturday. Police suspects it to be a case of murder. The cops on patrol found the charred remains of the man inside the car after the fire was doused.
According to G. Biksham Reddy, the inspector of Bahadurpura police station, the night patrolling team of Bahadurpura police station was making its rounds near the Zoo at about 1.30 am. The team found a Ford Ikon car up in flames. The car did not have a number plate.
The patrolling team then alerted the police station and the fire control room and also attempted to control the fire. Soon, a fire tender from Chandulal Baradari fire station reached the spot and doused the fire.
“We suspect this to be a case of murder,” says Mr Biksham Reddy.
A CLUES team and the dog squad visited the spot and collected samples from the crime scene.
Meanwhile, the police has shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. “We will wait for the post-mortem results. However, we have registered a murder case and have started a probe,” Mr Biksham Reddy said.
Police is also checking if any person has been reported missing in the locality.
