Man arrested for raping girl after drugging her
The police arrested a former unit sale manager of an insurance firm for allegedly drugging, raping and shooting the nude photographs of a girl with a cellphone, and circulating it to blackmail her.
The accused was identified as J, Suresh, 25, a resident of Warasiguda in Secunderabad. He was remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday. The accused came in contact with the 25-year-old complainant, a resident of New Bowenapally, while she was pursuing studies. She had come to a bank along with her father for the redemption of mutual fund units one-and-a-half-years ago. Suresh allegedly established contact with her by promising to provide info about job openings.
Bowenpally inspector K. Sattaiah said, “A few months back when she got engaged, he threatened her by showing the photographs he took with her during birthday parties. Three months ago he called her to his residence saying that he wanted to meet her for the last time and hand over the CDs. Suresh gave her a cold drink mixed with drugs, and raped her. He also shot the same on his cellphone and used to send the videos to the fiancée of the girl. This led to the cancellation of her engagement.” The police seized photographs, CDs and a pen drive from him. He was booked for rape, threatening, criminal intimidation, and cheating.
