Liquor scam: ACB grills minister’s son
The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday began questioning the politicians and their relatives in connection with the liquor scam. Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao’s son Dharmana Ram Manohar Naidu, alias Chinni, was questioned by the ACB sleuths in Visakhapatnam. Mr Ram Manohar told the ACB officials that he is into the granite business and not liquor business. In Khammam, the ACB sleuth grilled liquor syndicate leader Nunna Venkataramana.
The grilling of those named in the case will continue on June 19 and 20. MLA Kavita (Mahbubabad), TD MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu (Visakhapatnam), Ch. Venkata Veeraiah (Sattupally) and YSR Congress MLA-elect Chenna Keshava Reddy from Yemmiganur will be appearing before ACB in the next two days. The ACB also found that the liquor syndicate leaders had purchased flight tickets for MLA Ramakrishna Babu. Interestingly, the ACB spared the relatives of PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha.
