Leaders demand package for Rayalaseema

Rayalaseema MPs have asked the Centre to announce a special package for the region to complete all projects, including the establishment of a central university.

The MPs Dr M.V. Mysoora Reddy (TD), S.P.Y. Reddy (Congress) and former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy and others on Thursday spoke at the dharna sibiram organised by the Rayalaseema Students forum.
Mr Mysoora Reddy demanded the setting up of heavy industries to use the region’s mineral wealth.

The leaders demanded a time frame for all projects. They also said that the Brahmani Steel Factory belonging to Gali Janardhana Reddy should be taken over by the Steel Authority of India (SAIL).
