Krishna phase III bids opened

Financial bids for the 10 packages of the Rs 1,670-crore Krishna Phase III project were opened on Thursday. Almost all the firms quoted less than the estimated contract value (ECV). The list is likely to be submitted to the government on Friday.

Package 1: Sources said KCCL-SMC-IHP (Koya Const-ruction Company Limited-SMC-Indian Hume Pipes) joint venture, which quoted 0.50 per cent less, was the lowest bidder. The package is to lay pumping main from Kodandapur to Nasarlapally with estimated contract value of Rs 299.79 crore.
Package 2: Still under evaluation. With ECV of Rs 207.21 crore, the package is to lay pumping mains from Nasarlapally to Godakondla.

Package 3: BRCCPL-TAINFRA-RVR (Bhoo Rat-nam, Taher Infra and RVR) joint venture is lowest bidder. It quoted 1 per cent less than the ECV of Rs 167.10 crore to lay pumping mains from Godakondla to Gungal.

Package 4: IHP-Vishwa JV was lowest bidder for the package to lay gravity main from Gungal to Sahebnagar. ECV Rs 219.48 crore.

Package 5: All bidders disqualified for the package to construct 410-MLD water treatment plant at Kodan-dapur with ECV of Rs 141.07 crore. To be re-tendered.

Package 6: MEIL-SMC-SNT (Mega Engineering Infra, SMC and Sai Constructions) JV was the lowest bidder. It quoted 0.20 per cent less than the ECV of Rs 60.98 crore to construct clear water reservoirs at 4 locations.

Package 7: SSC-CMR quoted 9.09 per cent less in the package to construct 3 pump houses. ECV Rs 22.39 crore.

Package 8: MEIL-KBL (Mega Engineering Infra Limited-Kirloskar Brothers Ltd) quoted 0.80 per cent less. Manufacture, supply, erection of pumping equipment and sub-stations at 3 locations. ECV Rs 136.53 crore.

Package 9: MEIL-KCCL (JV) quoted 0.10 per cent less to lay ring main-I from Sahebnagar to Prashasan-nagar. ECV Rs 180.98 crore.

Package 10: MEIL-KCCL (JV) quoted 0.20 per cent less to lay ring main-II from Sahebnagar to Sainikpuri/ Alwal. ECV Rs138.85 crore.
