Kiran roots for unity
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday stressed on the need for more coordination between the Congress government and the party in the state.
Speaking at the mini-brainstorming session convened by PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, the CM said all the decisions that were taken had a seal of approval from the Congress high command and he was not promoting his individual likes and dislikes.
He said it was common knowledge that there was no coordination between the government and party and emphasised on the need for the party to take the government’s welfare and developmental projects to those who needed them.
Mr Reddy called upon all Congressmen to put aside their differences and work in unison for the party to win the 2014 elections.
The CM promised to look into the demand of providing subsidy to three additional LPG cylinders to all the connections, but said this could be implemented only after a detailed study. He also promised to fill all the nominated posts in a phased manner as decided by the party high command.
Mr Reddy additionally assured that the government will file the necessary affidavits before the HC and see that local body polls were held soon.
Later, Mr Satyanarayana told newsmen that from November 14, legislators and ministers would unde-rtake tours and hold public meetings every day to highlight the achievemen-ts of the government in the state and at the Centre.
