Keshav cries to prove he is not with YSRC

The Telugu Desam’s Uravakonda MLA, Mr P. Keshav broke, down on Tuesday over media reports that he was joining the YSR Congress.

In a similar denial mode, the TRS MLA, Mr E. Ravinder Reddy, also brushed aside reports that he was planning to quit and join the YSRC.

“I am really pained at the reports saying that I am joining the YSRC. The YSRC is playing mind games and spreading canards against rival party leaders and falsely claiming that some leaders are joining them. The reports are baseless,” Mr Keshav remarked.

He said that he fought with Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, father of YSR Congress led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and there was no chance of him joining the YSR Congress.

“If YSRC leaders like Amarnath Reddy, Srinivasulu believe in God, they should come to Kanipakam temple and take a vow before the God on whether I had approached them and expressed my willingness to join the party or if they had called on me. I will not be cowed down by mudslinging and malicious campaign,” he said.

The Telugu Desam MLA said he was a soldier of the party and would continue to work hard for the party. He also asked the media to observe restraint and not to dish out stories without facts.

“I was invited by NTR to join the party. The party gave me recognition and respect. How can I leave TD? YSRC may gain temporarily, but in the long run the TD will be a winner,” he predicted.

Mr Ravinder Reddy stoutly denied reports that he too was planning to join YSRC. “Why will I join a Samaikhya Andhra Party? I am committed to Telangana will stay put with the TRS. People in Telangana are making a beeline to TRS,” he said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
