KCR: Surveys give us 73 Assembly seats
Urging his party cadre to “put in extra hard work”, TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao told his party that surveys indicated that the TRS will back 73 Assembly and 14 Lok Sabha seats if elections were to be held now.
Mr Rao, who chaired the party’s state committee meeting on Friday, told the cadre that the survey were carried out “by agencies in and outside the state”.
“If you put in a little more hard work, the party will win the target of 100 Assembly and 16 Lok Sabha seats. We will have more bargaining power on Telangana,” Mr Rao reportedly said at the meeting.
Sources said he warned party in-charges in various Assembly constituencies that they would be replaced after the 40-day palle bata and basti programme if they fail to perform and a chance given to others. The programme will start from December 5 and continue till January 14.
“Telangana Talli statues will be installed in every mandal (1,128 mandals). We also plan to organise Telangana dhoom dham at every major village and towns,” party leader Etala Rajender said after the meeting.
