The Cabinet Sub-Committee set up to monitor the prestigious Jalayagnam projects decided to meet officials along with contractors of various works to fix a deadline for their completion on a war footing.
Ministers Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, P. Sudarshan Reddy, J. Geetha Reddy and T.G. Venkatesh held a detailed meeting on Wednesday with the concerned officials and engineers. It was pointed out in the meeting that though government has been releasing funds for early completion of the projects, contractors were not in a position to complete the works as per the schedules drawn by the officials and engineers. At this stage the sub-panel decided to invite contractors too for a meeting and sort out the problems.
