Jagan’s assets case: CBI grills Rajagopal

CBI officials on Thursday questioned former mines and geology director V.D. Rajagopal in connection wi-th Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case.

Mr Rajagopal, who is in prison in connection with the illegal mining case involving the Obulapuram Mining Company, was questioned by the CBI after the agency sought permission from the AP High Court.

The interrogation by a team of three CBI inspectors — Jaffar, Ramdas and Raghavendra Kumar — started at 10.30 am on Thursday and went on till 5 pm. The CBI is likely to resume the interrogation on Saturday with Friday being a holiday for jail authorities.
