Jagan may be in jail till March ’13
Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will have to wait much longer to apply for bail as the Central Bureau of Investigation says there is no time frame to file a final consolidated chargesheet.
The CBI is unlikely to file a comprehensive charge-sheet before March 2013.
The CBI, which has already completed the value assessment of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s house at Lotus Pond, is now working on an estimate of the value of his house in Bengaluru, sources said.
Speaking after the Vigi-lance Week on ‘Transpar-ency in Procurement’, CBI joint director V.V. Laksh-minarayana said, “In the case of Jagan, we will be filing a consolidated charge-sheet related to seven issues.
There is no specific time frame for it. We are working on day-to-day basis to file the comprehensive chargesheet as directed by the Supreme Court.”
The seven conspiracies in which the chargesheet is to be filed are those related to India Cements, Dalmiya Cements, Sandur Power Company, Indu-Lepakshi Knowledge Park, investments from Kolkata-based briefcase companies, Bha-rathi-Raghuram Cements and Penna Cements.
