Inter, SSC dates announced
The state government has announced the schedule for Intermediate and SSC public exams that will be held in March 2013.
Minister for secondary education K. Partha-sarathy, who released the schedule at the Secretariat on Friday, said that Intermediate (theory) first-year exams will be held from March 6 to 22, second-year exams from March 7 to 23 and SSC exams from March 22 to April 9.
While the Inter exams will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, the SSC exams will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Inter practical exams will be held from February 6 to 25.
Inter students will also have to appear for the mandatory Environment-al Education exam on January 31 from 10 am to 1 pm.
This year 9,83,418 students have registered for Inter first-year exams, 9,94,001 students for second-year exams and nearly 12.64 lakh students have registered for SSC exams.
Mr Parthasarathy said the Inter schedule had been devised in such a manner that students would get sufficient time to prepare for various competitive exams.
The minister added that the jumbling system to check irregularities will be introduced for Inter practical exams for the first time from this year.
