Girls outdo boys in Class X, XII results

In Class XII, Nasr School students Aishwarya Holani secured 95.2 per cent in Commerce, Samhita Mehra got 94.5 per cent in Humanities and Anne George got 92.8 per cent in Science. In Class X, Nasr students Syeda Amena Rizvi got 96.3 per cent and Rishita Reddy and T. Bhavyasri secured 100 per cent in Computers.

Vivekananda of Aurobin-do International School was MPC topper in the school for Class XII with 83 per cent marks and Amreen topped BEC with 67.50 per cent marks. In Class X, Aurobindo students B.N.S. Anusha Devi got 671 out of 700, followed by K. Mouna Reddy (669), Apurva Srinivas (667), K. Vignesh (657), Nori Archana (653), B. Deeksha (648), J. Ujwal Kishore (647), S. Vamshi Krishna (642) and M. Avani (637).

Shruthi Yelamanchili of Johnson Grammar School (Habsiguda) secured 98 per cent in Class X, scoring 685 out of 700 and Swathika Reddy got 96 per cent. “Nine students from our school secured distinction in Class X with over 90 per cent,” said Dr Chhalamayi Reddy, principal, Aurobin-do International School. ICSE Class X topper Shruthi, who secured 98 per cent marks, wants to become a doctor. She said, “I want to take admission in Sri Chaitanya for Inter BiPC course and prepare for MBBS entrance. I want to become a doctor.”

Niraj Public School students H. Vamshi Krishna and Yamini Veeranki secured 96.4 per cent in Class X. “Out of 84 students who appeared for Class X exams from our school, 83 got distinction. 24 students got over 90 per cent marks,” said Ms Lakshmi Krishnan, headmistress of the school. Mr Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, said, “From AP in Class X exams, out of 3,126 boys, 3,096 have cleared the exams, which is 99.04 per cent. Out of 3,020 girls, 3,016 have passed the exams, recording a pass percentage of 99.87.” “In Class XII exams, out of 323 boys, 318 have passed making it a pass percentage of 98.45, while 381 girls out of 383 have cleared the exams with a pass percentage of 99.48,” he added.
