Four arrested for rowdy’s murder
Four associates of notorious history-sheeter Golla Kittu were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the recent murder of another criminal named M. Shekar. Police said the accused attacked Shekar in broad daylight with knives and iron roads on November 8 on Rajiv Nagar Society Road in West Marredpally. The victim had died on the spot.
Eight others accused in the murder including Golla Kittu’s brother C. Eshwar Yadav are still absconding. The accused have been identified as K. Narsing, 22, a resident of Sanjeevaiah Nagar, P. Durgar Prasad, 23, an autorickshaw driver from Addaguta, R. Mallesh 28, a plumber from Alladipentaiah Nagar, and Shaik Moin, 23 a resident of Alladipentaiah Nagar.
Marredpally inspector K. Shashank Reddy said that old rivalry between Golla Kittu and Shekar had led to the murder. “Shekar was an associate of Golla Kittu. In 2007, Kittu had promised `10 lakh to Shekar for a murder. However, he did not keep his word, leading to fights.”
Kittu and his brother Eshwar Yadav along with the other accused hatched a plan to kill Shekar," Mr. Reddy said.
However, the Inspector informed that Kittu was arrested in connection with an extortion case a day before Shekar's murder while his associates killed Shekhar. Police said that Shekar was attacked in the presence of his 65 year old mother Narsamma who was also injured when she tried to stop the assaulters.
The police have booked a case under IPC section 302 for murder and have started a manhunt for the other accused.
