Drama at DGP office
After remaining incommunicado for three days, former minister and MLA P.Shankar Rao created a stir in front of the DGP's office on Tuesday evening when he “fainted“ after challenging the police to arrest him.
He was shifted to the Care Hospital at Banjara Hills for treatment.
Rao, who, along with his brother P. Dayanand, is facing a case of forgery filed with the Neredmet police under the Cyberabad police commissionarate, surfaced in front of the DGP's office on Tuesday evening. He had not been available when the police had visited his house three days back.
Accompanied by his daughter P. Susmita, Mr Rao told reporters before he fell ill: “I didn't abscond. I'm here.
Let the police come and arrest me. A false case has been foisted against me. I'm being implicated for fighting against corruption.“
