Cop warns YSRC to keep off schools
The Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to disrupt public life during the bandh called on Friday by the YSR Congress party. Mr Sharma pointed out that the frequent bandhs called by political parties have affected the education of students. Heeding the many protests from educational institutions and parents in this regard, the police department has decided that no establishment or educational institution can be forcibly closed during any bandh.
Strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to force or coerce any institution into shutting down, either directly or indirectly, he warned. The Cyberabad police will put up pickets near bus depots to control agitators. They have assured that there will be adequate patrolling and the movements of agitators will be videographed near bus stations. School buses will be guarded so school children are safe. Strict action will be taken against anyone who attempts to damage RTC buses, or tries to stop vehicle movement and forcibly closes shops. Police requested people to contact the control room in case of need.
