Cop exposes SP's boozy CD

Dismissed head constable K.V. Giri Prasad Sharma of the Police Transport Organisation on Sunday released a CD in which the PTO superintendent of police Lakshminarayana is seen drinking with him and discussing removing his name from a Lokayukta case which he had filed.

On September 12, Giri Prasad had kidnapped Lakshminarayana and had held him hostage at Adarshnagar in Saifabad for a few hours.

Prasad had wanted the suspension on him to be lifted and also demanded reforms in PTO while he complained about corruption. Following his dismissal under Article 311 of the Constitution, Prasad, who is also facing a criminal case, came out with the CD against the SP.

“I am releasing the CD. There was no kidnapping. It was only a drama. The SP and I sat together over liquor. We wanted to fight for the reforms in PTO. Don’t try to see other side of me,” he said.
