Congress respects YSR, says Kiran
Clarifying on the current tussle within the Congress party on the extent of owning late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister N. Kiran kumar Reddy on Tuesday said “YSR continues to be a respected leader of the Congress. At the same time, the question whether he helped his son Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in amassing wealth, will be decided by the courts.” The CM’s response came after some senior ministers met him and raised objections to a new minister, Kondru Murali making adverse comments against the late leader.
Mr Murali had said that the late CM was anti-Dalit and he was not a great leader but like any other Congress CM. The ministers urged the CM to clarify the stand of both the party and the government on the departed leader. They also told him that it would be prudent to avoid criticising YSR as the people will not tolerate adverse remarks against a deceased person.
