Congress lacks ability to run a coalition: BJP
Citing the demand by the Trinamul Congress of sacking the Union railway minister, senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday said that both the Congress and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh do not know how to run a coalition government. Mr Naidu told reporters that the UPA dispensation lacks the ability to provide stability to governance, as evident by the Trinmul Congress demand.
Accusing the Congress of violating the basic coalition dharma and breaking the trust with its allies, he said that the ruling party members themselves create disturbance in Parliament. Hitting hard at the Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee's Budget, Mr Naidu said that it is "inflationary, anti-poor and anti-farmer." The veteran politician added that the Budget will further fuel price rise and has no new ideas, no reforms, and talks less of reduction in fiscal deficit and development.
