Collector who fought land grabbers shifted
The state government on Thursday transferred many IAS officials including Ranga Reddy collector Mr V. Seshadri, who was waging a battle against land grabbers. Mr Seshadri was eased out after he decided to review previous orders of the district revenue officials, based on which the influential people, cutting across party lines grabbed hundreds of acres of prime government land on the city outskirts. The government made him collector of Visakhapatnam district in place of Mr Luv Agarwal. Employment Generation Mission CEO Ms Vani Prasad was posted as Ranga Reddy collector.
The government also transferred Mr A.K.Parida from Backward Classes welfare to EPTRI as director-general. The present EPTRI director-general Mr Indrajit Pal was posted as special chief secretary of primary education. Industries commissioner Mr Karikal Valaven was also transferred. Mr Rajatkumar, who was recently made tourism commissioner is the new industries commissioner.
Mr S.K. Sinha, commissioner of appeals in CCLA, was posted as principal secretary of GAD. Another officer in the CCLA, Mr M.V. Satyanarayana, was put in place of Mr B. Ramanjaneyulu as Greater Visakha municipal commissioner. Mr Shashank Goel was posted as resident commissioner of AP Bhavan, New Delhi. Handlooms and textiles director Mr Kantilal Dande was posted as director of tourism and Mr M. Raghunandan Rao was posted as CEO of employment generation mission.
