City techie died 6 days after birthday
Anurag Anthati, one of the techies who died in a car mishap in Oklahoma early on Friday, shared his birthday on August 4 with his cousin K. Sai Sena. He chatted with Sai on Facebook just five days before the accident.
“When he was here, we used to celebrate the birthday together. He told me that he was coming to Hyderabad in the last week of November,” Sai said. On Thursday, he called his mother and said he was going to attend his friend’s engagement and then a birthday party with friends, said his relatives. According to his uncle P. Nageshwara Rao, Anurag finished engineering from Arora College in 2007. His body is expected to reach the city on Wednesday.
Old couple wait for techie son’s body
Three days after a techie from Anakapalle died in a road mishap in Oklahoma, US, parents of M. Bhaskar Venkat Rao (Vaasu) are eagerly waiting for the body of their only son. Vaasu’s wife Sivananda Lahari, also a US-based techie, has been trying hard to bring her husband’s body to their home town with the help of Telugu Association of North America (TANA). Vaasu’s father Adinarayana is a retired employee of a local sugar factory. “On Friday, we were waiting for a call from the US about the Lahari and Vaasu’s plan to celebrate my son’s 33rd birthday, but instead I got this shocking news,” his mother said. Their daughter-in-law assured the aged couple on Sunday that Vaasu’s body will arrive at Anakapalli by Tuesday morning.
