City principal’s body found in Tank Bund
In a shocking incident Aurora College principal P. Ravi, who was missing from Friday evening, was found drowned in the Tank Bund on Sunday morning. Ramgopalpet inspector, P. Shanker Yadav said a missing complaint was filed on Saturday night by Meghana, the wife of the principal, stating that her husband who had been depressed since sometime had suddenly left home on Friday at 10 pm. She said that she hadn’t heard from him since then and had therefore filed a missing complaint.
Following a hunch, the police searched the Tank Bund on Sunday and found the body. According to the police, Ravi, a resident of Tarnaka, had been under a lot of stress, though the reason for his depression is yet to be ascertained. The police suspect office-related problems. The principal was last seen by an autorickshaw driver, who also happens to be a family friend of the principal. He had taken a ride in the autorickshaw, and before getting off had handed over his belongings to the driver, says the police. An investigation is on, to find out the reason for the suicide. A case has been filed under Section 174 CrPC in connection with the suicide.
