Gangster Bhanu Kiran along with his gang had settled disputes in Africa, as well. The gang collected money from Mutyala Reddy, the owner of Krishna theatre in Anantapur, who had invested in a liquor business in Africa, after settling his dispute with his partners regarding the shares. The confession of Bhanu is giving jitters to businessmen, realtors, politicians, and film producers, as the Crime Investigation Department has decided to book at least 20 cases against those who colluded with Bhanu Kiran regarding private settlements.

The CID’s investigations found that in the Ajantha theatre land case in Secunderabad, Bhanu had helped one of the parties in a dispute between brothers. The CID named E. Srikanth Goud, an advocate, for his association with Bhanu and Suri as well as involvement in settlements. “One Shekar of Ocean Park invested Rs 5 crore to buy 37 acres in Puppalaguda, where Bhanu and his gang had vacated the original land-owner. However, they forced Shekar to get 60 per cent of this land registered in their names,” a CID official stated.

“In phase-6 of Handri Neeva, Bhanu helped GVR constructions get Rs 66 crore work and took Rs 6.5 crore in commission, and in phase-7 he helped JK Constructions get Rs 72-crore works and took a commission of Rs 8.6 crore. Meanwhile, in phase-5 he helped Coastal Constru-ctions get Rs 38 crore work and made Rs 3.5 crore,” the CID official said.

Bhanu also confessed to paying Rs 1 crore to Moddu Srinu, Rs 5 crore to Chinna of Kadapa, and Rs 1.2 crore to Jagan’s aide Mangali Krishna. It was also found that MLA Guranatha Reddy’s brother, Redappa Reddy, had got Rs 80 lakh from Bhanu regarding the contracts. The CID has decided to book multiple cases regarding settlements against the realtors, contractors and others who had invested in collusion the Bhanu gang.
