Bhanu names RGV, Sridevi; To be grilled by CID

The CID has decided to form special teams to grill film personalities, industrialists and realtors who are named by gangster Bhanu Kiran in his confession statement. Film directors Ram Gopal Varma and Teja, film producers C. Kalyan, Singanamala Ramesh and Sivaramakrishna were named by Bhanu in his confession. Bhanu also named celebrity Sridevi, the daughter of ex-secretary of Andhra Cricket Association N. Venkat Rao.

The CID’s additional DG S.V. Ramana Murthy said, “We are finalising special teams and from Wednesday they will begin the probe. We will probe points that have come up in the interrogation step by step. After inquiry, we will decide who has to be examined. If a case is made out, we will register and summon them.” In his confession statement, Bhanu Kiran said that under the directions of his boss Maddelacheruvu Suri and Ram Gopal Varma, he took the reels of Rakta Charitra-2 from the colour lab belonging to Kalyan and Ramesh from Hyderabad to Bengaluru.
