Cops foil plan to burn 100 buses
Police claimed to have foiled a plan of YSR Congress Party activists to burn 100 RTC buses by arresting three persons with a bottle of petrol at Bolaram on Saturday. Police said they had confessed that they had planned to burn buses and damage public pro-perty if Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is arrested. Police identified the trio as Ram Mohan, YSR Congress City Seva Dal chief, and Saggu Srikanth Reddy, 27, and K.J. Eliazar, 45, of Sanathnagar.
Ram Mohan had confessed to receiving instructions from State YSR Congress Seva Dal president Kotimreddy Vinay Reddy, Putta Prathap Reddy, and Ranga Reddy district and Hyderabad city central executive member M.S. Raj Thakur, said Mr Rajiv Ratan, in-charge police commissioner, Cyberabad. He said two messages from Vinay Reddy were found on Ram Mohan’s mobile phone. They read: “Tmrw most likely boss arrest be prepared 4 jail baro...” and “Be prepared around 4 pm tmrw, vl inform location tmorrow.” Denying the allegations, Ram Mohan claimed that he was picked up from his home and compelled to make the confession.
