Armed psycho terrorises public

Chaos gripped Pardesi Naidu junction in Mahbubnagar town on Friday when a deranged man armed with a knife terrorised people for almost half-an-hour. The ‘psycho’ attacked many, and one of them was seriously injured.

Trouble started at about 4:30 pm when one Mohammed Khaja barged into a chicken shop at the Pardesi Naidu junction and grabbed two knives after threatening the shopkeeper.

Holding the knives in his hands he started running towards the public and the people in the junction fled.
An RTC employee named Venkatachari, who was not aware of the situation walked towards the junction and Khaja attacked him with the knife on his neck.

After receiving a deep cut on his neck, Venkatachari walked a few steps and collapsed. Khaja then attacked several others including a newspaper cameraman.

Meanwhile, a police team rushed to the spot, overpowered and arrested him.
