AP minister venkatesh: Kill officers who aren’t committed
Unmindful of the violence triggered by such remarks, minor irrigation minister T.G. Venkatesh said on Friday that officials who don’t have commitment towards their work should be shot dead.
The minister was inaugurating a building of the irrigation department here on Friday.
The unprecedented statement came in a course of his criticism of government officials for the poor implementation of welfare schemes.

Referring to an instance locally, where work on a tank had not started, minor irrigation minister T.G. Venkatesh on Friday said, “The government has to face the people’s wrath because of the IAS officers’ inaction,” while advocating death for the bureaucrats.
“It has become a habit for some officials to obstruct the developmental activities initiated by the government and these people are going scott-free,” the minister said.
He added that the likely reason could be the job security they have.
